Snowmobiling
Polaris snowmobiles manufactured since 1993 have engine coolant tanks that may expand and interfere with brake operation, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said last week.
Polaris Industries Partners L.P. of Minneapolis, Minn., is offering free replacements for an estimated 19,320 snowmobiles.
Polaris dealers sold the affected models nationwide from March 1993 through April 1996 for between $6,000 and $9,000 each.
The recall affects the 1994, 1995 and 1996 Storm and Storm SKS; 1996 Storm RMK; 1996 Ultra; 1996 Ultra SKS; 1996 Ultra RMK; and 1996 600 XCR SP. Contact Polaris at (800) 765-2747.
