Frontier League

Colville’s baseball team defeated visiting East Valley 2-0 in the Frontier League District 7 Tournament elimination game on Tuesday.

Colville got all its runs in the bottom of the fifth when Tim Sprangers doubled in Brandon True and Andy Hardison doubled in Sprangers.

Prior to losing to Colville, EV (13-7) eliminated No. 4 seed West Valley 8-1, also at Colville.

EV’s Steve Pipkin struck out nine and held the usually hot-hitting Eagles (12-7) to just three hits.

EV’s Bill Tincup matched the WV effort at the plate with three hits in four at-bats.
