Judge Will Grant Greene’s Divorce

A judge said Friday he would grant Rep. Enid Greene’s divorce request over the objections of her estranged husband, Joe Waldholtz, who said he still believes their marriage is salvageable.

Judge William Thorne made no decision about the custody of their 9-month-old daughter, Elizabeth.

Thorne still must finalize his ruling by signing the appropriate decree, which Greene’s attorney expects him to do by Monday.

Greene filed for divorce in November after her husband disappeared for six days amid growing scrutiny surrounding her personal and campaign finances.

Waldholtz was indicted earlier this month in federal court on 27 counts of bank fraud.
