Ciccarelli 10th On Goals List

Associated Press

Dino Ciccarelli scored two goals to move into 10th place on the NHL career list, and Alexander Selivanov had the game-winner with 1:09 left as the Tampa Bay Lightning rallied to beat the New York Rangers 5-3 Monday night in Madison Square Garden.

The Lightning trailed 2-0 and then 3-1 before scoring the game’s next four goals - including two by Ciccarelli that moved him past Guy Lafleur with 561.

Salo finally wins

In his first 11 games this season, Tommy Salo had a goals-against average of 2.76 and a save percentage of .902. The only thing he didn’t have was a victory.

Salo finally got one, stopping 22 shots to help the New York Islanders defeat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 at Philadelphia.

Ex-Wings return

Doug Brown had two goals and two assists, and the Detroit Red Wings spoiled the return of three former teammates with a 5-1 win over the Hartford Whalers.

Sergei Fedorov and Vyacheslav Kozlov also scored goals for Detroit, which is 6-1-2 in its last nine games.

The game marked the Detroit return of Keith Primeau, Paul Coffey and Stu Grimson, who were dealt to Hartford on Oct. 9 in the trade that brought Brendan Shanahan to the Red Wings.
