Fed Will Stand Pat On Rates

Investors, usually on pins and needles in the days before Federal Reserve policy meetings, see no reason for that this time.

Two days before the next meeting of the policysetting Federal Open Market Committee, traders aren’t looking for any interest-rate changes.

“The Fed’s not going to do a thing for a while” - maybe not for three to six months, said John Burgess, chief fixed-income strategist at Bankers Trust Global Investment Management in New York.
