Concert Will Benefit Network Church
Pianist Mark Kelso, whose music has been described as soothing and uplifting, will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Met, 901 W. Sprague.
Proceeds will benefit the Interfaith Hospitality Network, a new network of churches in the area that provide housing and services for homeless families. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors, and can be purchased by calling 838-8167.
Service at St. Stephen’s
St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will have a Thanksgiving Eve worship service on Wednesday at 7 at the church, at 5720 S. Perry.
International sale
Hand-made items from more than 30 countries will be on sale at Manito United Methodist Church on Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon in the Global Folk Art Bazaar. Global Folk Art is project of the Peace and Justice Action League, which purchases works from artists in developing countries and sells it in a shop at 1401 W. First.

Christian rockers
Central United Methodist Church will host several hard rock Christian alternative bands at the church, at 518 W. Third. The concert will be Saturday at 7 p.m. “MXPX,” “Ninety Pound Wuss,” and “The Drips” will perform. Tickets are $5 at the door. Call the church office at 838-1431 for more information.
Children’s chorus to perform
“Prelude to the Holidays,” a concert presented by the Spokane Area Children’s Chorus, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ, 411 S. Washington. Admisson is $4 for adults and $3 for children under the age of 12.
Choral Eucharist at St. John’s
The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist will hold its traditional Festival Choral Eucharist on Thanksgiving Eve. The Cathedral choir will sing at the special service at 7:30 at the church, located at 127 E. 12th.
The offerings collected during the service will be given to the Presiding Bishop’s Fund for World Relief. Child care will be available.
