Debris Can Be Dropped Off For Free
Spokane city and county officials are opening free tree debris drop-off spots, and will be accepting the material at the trash incinerator and waste transfer stations.
City and county residents may take debris to the transfer stations in Colbert and on Sullivan Road in the Spokane Valley and the garbage incinerator on Geiger Boulevard.
Transfer stations will take wood up to six feet in length through Dec. 1. Hours are 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. seven days a week, except for Thanksgiving Day, when stations will be closed.
In the city, three additional drop-off points are being opened for city residents only. Wood lengths are limited to three feet.
They include High Bridge Park at the bottom of West Riverside Avenue, Manito Park picnic area at 18th and Grand, and the south parking lot of Joe Albi Stadium.
City drop-offs are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
