World Series checks began arriving in the mail, and each member of the New York Yankees voted a full share received a record $216,870.08. Atlanta set the previous record of $206,635.01 in 1995, when the Braves beat Cleveland.

Atlanta, which lost to the Yankees in this year’s World Series, voted 37 players full shares of $143,524.36, breaking the previous record for a World Series loser, set by the Indians last year at $121,945.90.
