Davis Suffers Migraines

Compiled From Wire Services

Still seeking relief from migraine headaches, Denver Broncos running back Terrell Davis was scheduled to meet with a Denver nutritionalist to see if a diet change will ease the pain.

Davis, who leads the NFL in rushing with 623 yards, missed most of the second quarter of Denver’s 28-17 victory Sunday over San Diego. He also sat out more than a quarter against Tampa Bay on Sept. 15.

Bothered by migraines since age 7, Davis met with a neurologist for the second time Monday, and also said he plans to see a chiropractor.

Tshimanga Biakabutuka had surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, and the Carolina Panthers say their first-round draft pick will be ready for the 1997 season.

Team officials say Biakabutuka was to remain in a Charlotte, N.C., hospital until today and begin his rehabilitation later this week.
