Resume: incumbent Republican … 47 … 1972 graduate of Washington State University, degree in plant science … owns and manages an 880-acre Rathdrum Prairie grass farm, … basketball referee and former officer in North Idaho Officials Organization … member of Intermountain Grass Growers Association, Kootenai and Shoshone Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Service county committee, Air Quality Advisory Committee and Aquifer Protection Committee, Rathdrum Chamber of Commerce and the Rathdrum Grange … married with one daughter and a grandchild.

Finances: Raised $7,058, including $500 from Timber PAC, $500 from the Idaho Association of Realtors, $250 from Potlatch Corp., $250 from ASARCO Inc., and $150 from the Tobacco Institute.

Issues: Improve quality of life … allow grass burning … redistribute liquor and sales tax … improve school facility funding … opposed workman’s compensation for farm workers … get community colleges off local property tax.
