Four Beheaded In Saudi Gang Rape

Three Saudis and a Pakistani convicted of gang rape were publicly beheaded Monday in this holy city.

The four were convicted of breaking into a house while under the influence of alcohol, beating and locking up the owner of the house and taking turns raping his wife, the Interior Ministry said.

The statement did not say when or where the crime was committed.

Their executions raised the number of people beheaded in the desert kingdom this year to 45. The rate of executions has slowed since last year, when a record 192 people were beheaded.
