Soap Lake Man Dies After Losing Control Of Car

A Soap Lake man died after losing control of his car early Thursday morning in Grant County.

Mathew Bixler, 20, was driving east on Road 20 Northwest when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Stratford Road. He lost control of his 1973 Ford Maverick in the intersection and rolled the car onto its top.

Bixler was taken to Ephrata’s Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The accident was discovered by a passing motorist and is still under investigation. Bixler was not wearing a seat belt. , DataTimes
