Woman Dies In Crash Days Before Wedding

A 25-year-old woman running errands to prepare for her wedding was killed in a two-vehicle accident.

Susan Walton, a nurse, died Thursday, just four days after moving to Knoxville from Texas.

Relatives from Canada and England had been expected at the wedding next weekend.

“She was so excited about her family coming in,” said her fiance, Doug Draper. “She hadn’t seen her parents in two years.”

Police said Walton’s vehicle was struck head-on by a van whose driver had suffered a medical problem.
