Two Killed In Separate King County Incidents

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two men were killed at separate weekend parties in south King County, police said.

A teen was shot to death at a Halloween party early Saturday in the Burien area, said Jerrell Wills, King County Sheriff spokesman.

The medical examiner’s office identified the victim as James Taupule, 16, of Seattle.

He was killed a little after midnight when a gang-related fight broke out, Wills said.

There were no suspects in the shooting, Wills said.

In a separate incident, a 23-year-old man was stabbed to death Friday night when an argument at a party in Tukwila escalated into a physical struggle.

The Kent man, whose identity was not immediately released, was found on the living room floor of an apartment complex with a stab wound to the chest, police said.

A 27-year-old Renton man was arrested.
