Pair Face Murder, Robbery Counts

From Staff And Wire Reports

A young couple accused of killing a man in Auburn and, eight days later, robbing a Seattle man at gunpoint have been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree robbery.

Jacob Brown, 21, and Porsche Washington, 17, were charged in the death of Thomas Boyd Jr., 49, who bled to death after being shot Oct. 6.

The robbery occurred on Oct. 14.

King County prosecutors asked that $750,000 bail be set for Brown, who was released from juvenile detention on his 21st birthday in April after serving time for a second-degree murder conviction in 1990.

Prosecutors asked that Washington be held on $500,000 bail.
