Russian Baptist Church To Offer Lunch At Bazaar

Crafts, baked goods, and plants are among the 1,001 items for sale at the 34th annual bazaar and lunch Saturday at Centenary United Methodist Church, 1012 S. Freya. Bazaar hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. by the Russian Baptist Church, which has been meeting at Centenary for the past three years. Cost is $4.50 for adults and $3.50 for children.

Highland Park finishing building

Highland Park United Methodist Church, 611 S. Garfield, is completing construction on its new 1,100 square-foot activity center. In the planning stages for two years, construction began Sept. 1 on the building, which will be used for a variety of activities. A dedication ceremony for the $85,000 project will be held later.

Unity sponsoring Halloween party

Unity Church, 2900 S. Bernard, is hosting a Halloween party tonight from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The evening will begin with dinner and games.

Entry fee for the costume contest is $6. Tickets for the dinner are $6 for adults and $4 for children. For more information, call 838-6518.

Costume contest at Liberty Park

Another neighborhood Halloween party is scheduled tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Liberty Park United Methodist Church, 1526 E. 11th. Activities for all ages include a costume contest, games and refreshments. There is no admission charge.

Liberty Park is also holding a bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. A soup lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for $3.50 per person. For more information call 535-5588.

Westminster plans bazaar

Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ is holding a bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, 411 S. Washington. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. The cost of the lunch is $4.25.

Group to sing at Manito Methodist

The Spokane Melody Singers, a Christian men’s group that has been performing since 1926, will sing at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Manito United Methodist Church, 3220 S. Grand Blvd. The concert will be followed by a potluck at 6:30 p.m. The event will be free and public. For more information, call 747-4755.
