Woman Surrenders To Police After East Central Homicide
A woman who turned herself over to police before dawn Monday was being held in connection with this weekend’s fatal shooting in east Spokane.
Police did not identify the 34-year-old woman or say what charges she faces.
She turned herself in at the county jail about 4 a.m. as detectives were still gathering clues at the scene of Sunday’s homicide, authorities said.
The woman was taken to a hospital to be treated for some injuries before being booked into jail, police said.
An African-American man thought to be in his 40s was shot to death about 8 p.m. Sunday near the corner of Third and Stone.
Witnesses told police the man was arguing with a woman shortly before he was killed.
Police said the woman taken into custody Monday had a relationship with the victim, but they did not describe it. , DataTimes
