Vallley View Semifinalists Advance

Ladies golf

Semifinalists have been determined for the championship of this year’s Valley View Ladies 9-Hole Golf Club.

Joyce Jacobs, Mary Ann Barham, Pat Thompson and Marcia Spohn reached the round of four during last week’s tournament start.

First flight semifinalists are Sylvia Perkins, Edith Rains, Donna Festerson and Genevra Barrett.

Second flight semifinalists are Jane Clark, Emma Long, Margie Bratcher and Marilyn McMahon.

During medal play, low gross score was turned in by Thompson in B flight with a 46. Lorraine Martin shot 51 to lead A flight golfers. Clark shot 65 in C.

Net winners are Carol Dahl with 32 in B flight, Barham and McMahon with 34s in A and C respectively.

Medal play for Liberty Lake 18s

Liberty Lake Ladies 18 Hole Club met for medal play last week.

Low gross scores were by Patsy Lynn and Dianne Joss with 96 in A flight, Nancy Monteith with 98 in B, Betty Harmon with 104 in C and Margaret Brashears with 102 in D.

Net leaders included Yvonne Splan at 77 in A, Mabel Watkins with 71 in B, Marge Doyle with 75 in C and Barb Hafner with 75 in D.

Best eclectic scores for the month of August included a low gross 77 by Sandy Mooney and net of 59 by Lynn among A flight golfers.

In B, Jean Fulks shot 84, Lily Shiosaki and Flurry Snyder had net 62s. C flight honors included Cathy Whitley’s low gross 90 and Harmon’s net 60. In D flight, Kitty Duval shot 103 and Phyllis Bunkowske netted 67.

Hangman Valley Captain’s Cup

During the Hangman Valley Ladies Golf Club Captain’s Cup, Pam Anderson was winner with a net 73.

Concurrent putting competition went to Billie Etter with 30 putts. Diane Joss and Gloria Cash tied for second with 32.
