Clerk Grabs Revolver, Foiling Robbery

From Staff Reports

A Spokane hotel clerk wrestled a gun from a would-be robber early Monday.

A woman with a revolver walked into the Thunderbird Inn, 120 W. Third, about 1:30 a.m. She pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money.

The clerk told police he grabbed the weapon and the woman fired one shot into an office window. The woman then ran to a car and fled.

The suspect is a 5-foot-8-inch black woman in her late 20s or early 30s, weighing about 230 pounds. The driver was a black man with a shaved head.
