Clara Seibert Spokane

Service for Clara (Day) Seibert, 76, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Colville (Wash.) United Methodist Church.

Interment will follow at the Meyers Falls Cemetery in Kettle Falls, Wash. Danekas Funeral Chapel of Colville is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Meyers Falls, Wash., she died Monday.

Mrs. Seibert graduated from Colville High School and worked for Standard Oil Co. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Bowdish Construction Co. before retiring in 1979.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie.

She is survived by four sisters, Louise Holdaway and Helen Carson, both of Colville, Dorothy Ferrier of Spokane and Hazel Mear of Trail, British Columbia; and two brothers, Donald Day of Post Falls and Johnny Day of Colville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Leonard Duke Spokane

Visitation for Leonard F. Duke, 89, will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today. Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mr. Duke, who was born in Pickford, Mich., died Monday.

He graduated from high school in Sault St. Marie, Mich., and worked as a switchman and brakeman for the Northern Pacific Railroad.

He retired in the early 1970s after 35 years.

Mr. Duke was a member of the Spokane Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pearl; a son, Jim Duke of Spokane; a daughter, Sarah Loeppky of Lockport, Manitoba; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Brooks Longmont, Colo.

Service for Elizabeth A. Brooks, 76, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pines Cemetery Chapel. Inurnment will be at Pines Cemetery. Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, Colo. is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brooks, who was born in Portland, died Sunday.

She married Dean Brooks in 1941 and was a homemaker.

Her husband died in 1990.

She is survived by four daughters, Kathleen Polakowski of Longmont, Loretta Close of San Roman, Calif., Deanna Hawkins of Spokane and Patricia Leath of Hillsboro, Ore.; a brother, Lawrence Mitchoff of Portland; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Clara Callaway Ritzville, Wash.

Visitation for Clara A. Callaway, 91, will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville. Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Callaway, who was born in Valley, Wash., died Monday.

Mrs. Callaway graduated from high school in Valley and worked for the Red Cross and Life Care of Ritzville.

She was a member of Benge Community Church and the Ralston Grange.

Her husband, George, died in 1969.

She is survived by a son, Eugene Callaway of El Paso, Texas; a daughter, Georgia Callaway of Ritzville; two sisters, Millie Naught of Thornton, Wash., and Rachel Gibbons of St. John, Wash.; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Jim Conklin Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Jim R. Conklin, 34, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at English Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene.

Mr. Conklin, who was born in New Jersey, died Saturday. He moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1972 and attended school here, later attending North Idaho College. He had worked as an appliance technician.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Conklin; two daughters, Alicia and Brandy Conklin, at the home; his parents, Roscoe and Maryann Conklin; four brothers, Jeff and Jason Conklin, both of Coeur d’Alene, Josh Conklin of Post Falls and Jerry Conklin of Spokane; and four sisters, Jill Judge of Post Falls, Jacalyn Glander of Texas, Jennifer Zirkle of Arizona and Jane Kenny of Coeur d’Alene.

Memorials may be made to a trust fund set up for his two daughters at Northern State Bank, 218 Lakeside Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.

Rile Zenier Bonners Ferry, Idaho

Service for Rile Lillian Zenier, 79, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rile, who was born in Endicott, Wash., died Sunday.

She grew up in Coeur d’Alene and moved to Bonners Ferry in the 1930s. She returned to Coeur d’Alene in 1962 before moving back to Bonners Ferry in 1970. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Pythian Sisters.

Mrs. Zenier was preceded in death by her husband, Royden, earlier this year. Survivors include a daughter, Shannon Mather of Coeur d’Alene; three sisters, Pauline Olson of California, and Esther Zurbrugg and Ruth Jolgen, both of Spokane; five grandchildren, Shaun, Todd, Tammy, Javin and Asha; and numerous stepchildren and stepgrandchildren.

Robert ‘Sparky’ Barcelou Manila, Philippines

Memorial service for Robert “Sparky” Barcelou, 55, will be Saturday at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. A potluck reception will follow at the Yates Hayden Lake Chapel Hospitality Hall.

Mr. Barcelou, a former Coeur d’Alene resident, died Aug. 18. He moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1949. He served in the Navy in Vietnam, where he was wounded.

He later moved to California, where he lived until moving to Manila eight years ago.

Survivors include a son, Robert Barcelou Jr. of Pocatello, Idaho; two daughters, Juanita Contabile and Cheri Dobler, both of Mead; his mother and stepfather, Ruth and Paul Miller of Coeur d’Alene; his father, Calvin Barcelou of Port Hadlock, Wash.; three sisters, Micki Wilson of Spokane, Gloria Wilson of Kellogg and Sharon Merkel of Arizona; two brothers, Stanley Barcelou of Bothell, Wash., and Dennis Miller of Post Falls; and eight grandchildren.
