Florence (Kirkpatrick) Moseley Spokane

Service for Florence (Kirkpatrick) Moseley, 91, will be at 2 p.m. today at Covenant Christian Church. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Moseley, who was born on Moran Prairie, died Wednesday.

She was a graduate of Kinman Business School and worked for John W. Graham for 15 years. She also worked as an accountant for the Spokane Country Club, retiring in 1970, and worked for the accounting firm LeMaster and Daniels for several years. She continued to work privately in the accounting field.

She was a member of Covenant Christian Church, serving as the treasurer, and the Sorosis Club, Retired Ministers Association and the Business and Professional Women’s Club.

Her husband, W.G., died in 1988.

She is survived by a stepson, Wallace Moseley of Plano, Texas; two brothers, Robert Kirkpatrick of Olympia and Hewit Kirkpatrick of Bothell, Wash.; a sister, Nina Cunningham of Deer Park; three stepsisters; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Robert ‘Bob’ Heale Spokane

Service for Robert Heale, 62, will be at 11 a.m. today at Felts Field.

Mr. Heale, who was born in Seattle, died Saturday.

He graduated from high school in Seattle and earned a degree in political science from San Jose State College.

Mr. Heale was a motorcycle police officer in Seattle and later owned and operated Robmar Aviation in Spokane.

He performed aerobatics at Silverwood Theme Park and was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; four sons, Robert Heale of Spokane, John Heale of Lynnwood, Wash., Kenneth Heale of Marysville, Wash., and Timothy Heale of Everett; and five grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bob Heale Memorial Fund in care of Global Federal Credit Union or to the Bob Heale Wildlife Trust Fund at Washington Trust Bank.

Selmer Jenson Spokane

No service for Selmer I. Jenson, 96, will be held at his request. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Jenson, who was born in Stoughton, Wis., died Tuesday.

He served in the Army during World War I and later worked as a carpenter.

He is survived by a son, Pat Jesnon of Spokane; three daughters, Dee Clinton and Jean Burkhardt, both of Spokane, and Cathy Kittleson of Mesa, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Helen Fenton Harrisonburg, Va.

Service for Helen E. Fenton, 89, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Bethel Chapel of Sunnyside Retirement Community. Lindsey Funeral Homes in Harrisonburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Fenton, who was born in Palouse, Wash., died Tuesday.

Mrs. Fenton was a graduate of Washington State University and later received a master’s degree from George Washington University. She taught French at Cle Elum (Wash.) High School and later taught English and Latin at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Va.

She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa scholastic honorary, the P.E.O., and the Bunker Hill (W.Va.) Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd; a daughter, Joan Pine of Chicago; a son, Jerry Fenton of St. Paul, Minn.; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church in Bunker Hill, the Sunnyside Presbyterian Retirement Community in Harrisonburg or the First Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg.

Ruth Johnson Spokane

Memorial service for Ruth E. Johnson, 74, will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Covenant Unity Methodist Church. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson, who was born in Chicago, died Monday. She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Kenneth, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Johnson of Kingston, Ariz.; two daughters, Cheryl Schisler of Springdale, Wash., and Marsha Johnson of Portland; and a grandson.

Patricia Port Spokane

Vigil service for Patricia D. Port, 46, will be at 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Memorial Mass will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mrs. Port, who was born in Soccoro, N.M., died Tuesday.

She was a graduate of Girls Central High School and of Sacred Heart Medical Center School of Nursing and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Gonzaga University.

She worked as a registered nurse clinician at Sacred Heart Medical Center in the neonatal intensive care unit and was a perinatal pediatric flight nurse for Heartflight/Northwest MedStar. She was a co-author of a textbook titled, “Very Young Children With Special Needs: A Formative Approach for the 21st Century.”

Mrs. Port was a member of the American Nurses Association, the Washington State Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau and the Nightingale Society. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ron Port; three sons, Michael Port, Tim Port and Adam Port, and one daughter, Heidi Port, all of Spokane; a brother, George McCaslin of Seattle; and three sisters, Kathy Kirsch of Boulder, Mont., Michele Harding of Kokomo, Ind., and Mary Brekke of Yukon, Okla.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pat Port Nursing Education Scholarship Fund in care of the Sacred Heart School of Nursing Alumni Association.

Ruth Kiemle Spokane

Service for Ruth L. Kiemle, 82, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Mrs. Kiemle, a lifetime resident of Spokane, died Saturday.

She was a graduate of Hillyard High School.

Her husband, Robert, died in 1979.

She is survived by a sister, Jeanne Stowell, of Spokane.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane County Humane Society.

Kerry Plank Spokane

A private service for Kerry B. Plank, 48, will be held at a later date. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Plank, a 40-year resident of Spokane, died Tuesday.

He was a graduate of Central Valley High School and a veteran of the Navy. He later worked as a logger and machinist for 20 years.

Mr. Plank was a member of the Coasters biking and skiing group and the Mount Spokane Ski Patrol.

He is survived by his mother, Rena Neidig, and stepfather, Dean Neidig, both of Spokane; two brothers, Bill and Rod Plank, both of Post Falls; a sister, Julie Mullin of Spokane; and his grandmother, Vesta Leake of Tillamook, Ore.

Erma Walton Coeur d’Alene

Visitation for Erma C. Walton, 89, will be today from 5-8 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Coeur d’Alene. Ms. Walton, who was born in Carlinville, Ill., died Tuesday.

She moved to the area in 1911 and began working at Washington Water Power in Coeur d’Alene in 1929 as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1971 after 42 years.

She was a member of the Professional Women’s Club, the P.E.O., National Secretaries Association, Trailblazers of WWP and the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a nephew, William Blount of Spokane, and two nieces, Jean McGrogan of Spokane and Elizabeth Nipp.

John O’Reilly Coeur d’Alene

Funeral Mass for John Joseph O’Reilly, 86, will be today at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. O’Reilly, who was born in Minnesota, died Monday.

He was a lifelong Coeur d’Alene resident and owned the Q Motel for several years and the Silver Wings Restaurant at Weeks Airfield. He also was a retired logger.

Mr. O’Reilly was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen. Survivors include a brother, Ronald O’Reilly; and a sister, Mary Bergstrom.
