From Staff And Wire Reports

Paradise Creek in Latah County is among hundreds of waterways in Idaho that are considered polluted.

Under a 1995 state law, the Division of Environmental Quality is required to develop management plans for those polluted waters.

The Latah Soil and Water Conservation District, the Idaho Soil Conservation Commission and the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute are working together to form a Watershed Advisory Group for Paradise Creek.

The advisory group will help design the management plan by December 1997 to improve and protect the creek.

A public information meeting on the formation of the group is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 26 in the Moscow City Council chambers.
