Father, Son Shot While Driving
Grant County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an accidental shooting that wounded a man and his young son near Moses Lake this weekend.
Deputies said Chris Jorgeson, 35, of Coulee City, Wash., and his 8-year-old son were hit by a bullet as they drove north on Stratford Road about 6 p.m. Saturday.
The slug pierced the back of their car, passed through a stroller handle and a seat before hitting the boy in the arm and lodging in his father’s back, deputies said.
Both victims were treated and released from Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. Doctors are trying to decide whether to remove the slug from Jorgeson’s back, deputies said.
A man who was shooting his SKS assault rifle near the road at the time of the incident was questioned Sunday and his gun seized, deputies said.
The man, whose name hasn’t been released, may face reckless endangerment charges. , DataTimes
