Shooting Benefit

From Staff Reports

Shooters can try their hand at skeet, trap and sporting clays Sept. 29 in a benefit to improve the region’s shooting facilities and hunter education programs.

The Top Gun Shootout, sponsored by Friends of the NRA, begins with registration at 9 a.m. at the Spokane Gun Club, 19615 E. Sprague. Shooting continues through the morning with a catered barbecue dinner at 1 p.m.

“We have different classifications depending on skill level as well as categories for women, juniors and physically challenged,” said shoot organizer Gayle Carter.

Cost for the fund-raiser is $35, including dinner. Spectators can make a donation and get dinner for $15. Info: Gayle Carter, 328-4617 or 238-2053.
