Davis Pondering New Lsu Offer

Idaho men’s basketball coach Kermit Davis isn’t saying if he’s staying - or leaving.

New Louisiana State coach John Brady, who is hoping Davis joins his staff as an associate head coach, says he doesn’t know Davis’ plans.

Davis, who has been at Idaho one year in his second stint as head coach, returned to Moscow on Monday amid widespread speculation he is on the verge of leaving for LSU.

“I cannot comment on anything right now,” Davis said. “I just can’t.”

A week ago, Davis declined Brady’s offer, saying “unequivocally” he wasn’t going to LSU. But Brady renewed negotiations with Davis at the Final Four and sweetened LSU’s offer, sources indicated.
