Conrath Slam Punctuates Cheney Sweep

Matt Conrath hit a grand slam during an 11-run sixth inning Saturday as first-place Cheney beat visiting West Valley 20-6 to complete a Frontier League baseball doubleheader sweep.

Cheney (5-0) won the opener 12-2 as Tucker Urdahl (4-0) struck out eight. Pat Stiffler drove in three runs for Cheney.

Jason Phillipe and Beau Macarty homered for the Eagles (2-4) in the second game.
