Woman Killed, Son Unhurt In Crash
A 23-year-old Cheney woman traveling with her infant son died Sunday after she lost control of her car in Lincoln County, the Washington State Patrol said.
Christina A. Pendell died at the scene from head injuries, troopers said. Her 4-month-old son, Logan, was not hurt.
Troopers said Pendell was driving east on U.S. Highway 2, about three miles east of Almira, when her 1991 Toyota 4Runner veered onto the shoulder.
Pendell lost control as she tried to get the car back on the road, causing the vehicle to roll three times.
The victim was wearing her seat belt, and the boy was strapped into a child safety seat, troopers said.
