Lethbridge Up 2-0 In Whl Title Series

Mike Josephson scored twice as the Lethbridge Hurricanes skated to a 4-1 victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds to take a 2-0 series lead in the Western Hockey League championship series Saturday night.

Mark Smith and Shane Willis also scored for the winners, who took a 2-0 lead in the second period after a scoreless first.

Torrey Diroberto scored the lone Seattle goal, the first by a Thunderbird forward in the finals.

The best-of-7 series returns to Seattle on Tuesday and Wednesday.
