G-7 Hints Push Dollar Higher

Emissaries from Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States conferred in Washington on Sunday against a backdrop of concern they would act aggressively to stop the dollar, which has risen more than 12 percent against the mark and nearly 10 percent against the yen this year.
