Oregon Prison Authorities Complain Ruling Isn’t Kosher
Oregon authorities are expecting rampant conversion to Judaism in the state prison system thanks to a judge’s ruling that a convicted murderer must be served kosher meals.
Daniel Lee Holterman probably will get frozen kosher meals if the ruling stands, said Jan Peter Londahl, an Oregon assistant attorney general.
Londahl said the state might appeal.
“If this ruling stands, we’re going to find that we’re going to have a remarkable number of Orthodox Jews in our prisons,” he said.
