Motel Raid Nets Heroin, Cocaine

From Staff And Wire Reports

Eight ounces of black tar heroin and cocaine were seized in a motel room raid in north Spokane late Thursday, authorities said.

Two men and a juvenile were arrested.

Ulises Carabaja Rodriguez, 22, and Reyes Tavarez, 23, both of Grandview, Wash., and a 17-year-old boy from Sunnyside were booked into the county jail on drug-trafficking charges.

Officers said they caught the suspects at a North Division motel with the drugs, packaging and sales equipment, $6,000 cash and two handguns.

The raid was a part of a Spokane Regional Drug Task Force crackdown on motel room drug sales, said sheriff’s Lt. Chan Bailey. , DataTimes
