Another Counterfeit Bill Discovered

Compiled From Wire Services

Another counterfeit bill was turned over to police this weekend, making a total of five passed in Spokane since Thursday.

The bogus $20 was passed sometime Saturday at a 7-Eleven store on West Sunset Boulevard, said Dick Cottam, Spokane Police Department spokesman.

The first counterfeit $20 bill showed up at a children’s lemonade stand on Thursday. That afternoon, a bank spotted another fake $20. Then on Friday a bogus $20 showed up at a Texaco station on North Nevada and a $10 bill was found at a Taco Bell in the Northpointe Shopping Mall.
