A 91-year-old man who had been missing since Thursday morning was found safe Friday evening on a south Whidbey Island beach.
Lloyd Turner of Langley was a little disoriented but appeared to be in good shape, said Chief Deputy Jan Smith of the Island County sheriff’s office.
He had left his Langley home Thursday morning and told his wife he wanted to “go home” to eastern Oregon. Authorities said he might have Alzheimer’s disease.
Search crews found Turner on a beach near Strawbridge and Primavera roads about 6 p.m. Friday.
