Edwards Rescues Rockers At Buzzer

Associated Press

Michelle Edwards hit a running 3-pointer at the buzzer as the Cleveland Rockers kept their WNBA playoff hopes alive with a 72-71 win Saturday over the New York Liberty.

The Rockers, vying with Charlotte for the final playoff spot, got their second straight last-second win and denied New York homecourt advantage. That will go to Eastern Division champion Houston.

Cleveland (15-12) can secure the last of four spots by beating the Liberty (16-11) in New York today or if Charlotte loses to Utah.
