Bruins Upend Huskies
Seth George scored with an assist from McKinley Tennyson in the 16th minute, and the goal held up as UCLA beat Washington 1-0 on Monday in a second-round NCAA Division I soccer playoff game.
The game was originally scheduled Sunday, but was postponed a day because of rain.
The Bruins (19-2), ranked second by Soccer America, will host Clemson (11-6-3) in a quarterfinal game Saturday.
Washington (15-3-2) had an apparent goal called off midway through the first half when midfielder Ian Russell was called for a handball.
