Level Iii Sex Offender Moves To Spokane

Police are alerting residents that a Level III sex offender is living in Spokane.

Danny A. Mearis, 36, is living on the lower South Hill, police said.

He was convicted of three counts of attempted rape against three victims. He also was convicted of second-degree burglary.

Mearis is considered at high risk to reoffend. He is described as black, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 222 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on his abdomen, police said.
