Pets Can Receive Microchip License

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Spokane County animal shelter and Partners for Pets will hold a pet microchip licensing clinic from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Petsmart, 14024 E. Sprague Ave.

The chips, which can be read with an electronic scanner, are encoded with numbers that can be used to reunite lost pets with their owners.

Microchips cost $15 with a current pet license. Veterinarians will be on hand to insert the chip just under the skin of the pets.

Santa also will be available for pet pictures.

Call the animal shelter at 458-2532 for information.
