Pga Allows Carts For All
Riding in a cart between shots, Casey Martin shot a 1-under-par 70 at the PGA Tour qualifying tournament.
Martin, who has a leg disability that causes him pain when he walks, challenged the PGA Tour ban of carts in the final stage of Q-school and got an injunction from a federal judge in Oregon last week.
The tour decided to make carts available to all 168 players, and about 20 used them - including first-round leader Scott Verplank, who had a 66.
