Shadle Beats West Valley, But Loses Big Scorer Scott

Shadle Park had a subdued celebration after its comeback win over visiting West Valley.
The Highlanders (1-1) defeated the Eagles 48-43 but lost Demetrius Scott to a broken leg. Scott, who scored 24 points Thursday night, was injured going up for a layup.
Travis Evans’ 3-pointer with 2:40 left gave Shadle a one-point lead. The Eagles are 0-1.
