Pac-10/WCC/Big Sky/Big West
Desmond Mason, Adrian Peterson and Joe Adkins scored 14 points apiece and Oklahoma State’s Cowboys used a strong defensive showing in the first half to defeat Washington 81-66 Saturday at Stillwater, Okla.
Brett Robisch added 10 points as the Cowboys (6-0) extended their nation-best non-conference home winning streak to 76.

The Huskies shot just 29 percent in the first half and committed 15 of their 17 turnovers. Oklahoma State used those mistakes to build a 15-point halftime lead, widened it to 22 in the second half, then held off a mild Washington rally.
MacCulloch scored four points in helping Washington take a 6-2 lead in the early going. But Oklahoma State scored the next 14 points, including 3-pointers from Joe Adkins and Estell Laster, to take over for good. The Huskies committed four turnovers during that 4-1/2-minute stretch.
After Chris Walcott scored four straight for Washington to make the score 16-10, the Cowboys scored six straight to lead by 12. They led by as many as 16 before going to the locker room ahead 40-25.
The Washington turnovers weren’t a surprise. The Huskies came in averaging 20 per game, and last year they set a school record with 576 (20.5 per game).
