Ucla Reinstates Suspended Star

Kris Johnson has been reinstated to playing status for 12th-ranked UCLA. He will make his season debut Saturday night when the Bruins face Cal State Fullerton at Pauley Pavilion.

Johnson, a 6-foot-4 senior swingman, was suspended for violation of athletic department policies and team rules on Sept. 29. He was reinstated for practices on Nov. 17.

Jelani McCoy, also suspended, was reinstated for practices Dec. 1. He has not been cleared to play.

Johnson averaged 10.3 points in helping UCLA win its third straight Pac-10 championship last season.
