Man Arrested For Threatening Girl

Sheriff’s deputies arrested an 18-year-old Spokane man for allegedly threatening a teenage girl with a metal baseball bat as she tried to pick up her sister at Greenacres Junior High.

Chris. D. Oursland, of 17017 E. Sprague, was arrested Wednesday afternoon for intimidation with a weapon.

He and five or six other teenage males allegedly surrounded a 17-year-old girl and her boyfriend as they entered the school’s parking lot and threatened them with the bat.

The two parties appeared to know each other, Sheriff’s Department officials said.

The girl had a cellular phone and called her father, who arrived a few minutes later. The father told deputies the teenagers confronted him also and threatened to kill him.

Deputies found the suspect carrying a bat and walking along East Sprague.

Deputies also arrested a 17-year-old male for trespassing on school property.
