Four Injured When Car Rams Into Tree

Four people were injured, two critically, when the car they were riding in hit a tree head-on Sunday afternoon on East Hauser Lake Road.

Two occupants were thrown from the car, while two others had to be extricated from the vehicle, according to the Post Falls Police Department.

The accident occurred just before 5 p.m. Sunday, and rescue personnel remained on the scene for two hours.

The driver, who was in critical condition, was airlifted to Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene by Med-Star.

No further information was available late Sunday.
