Garry Park Forms Neighborhood Council
Another neighborhood council will make its debut before the Spokane City Council tonight.
Residents of the Garry Park neighborhood will join the program designed to get neighborhoods more involved with City Hall.
The City Council’s recognition of Garry Park will bring the number of neighborhood councils to 11.
City officials say there eventually may be as many as 45.
During this afternoon’s briefing, the council is expected to renew its $82,725 contract with the Spokane Area Economic Development Council.
The briefing will start at 3:30 p.m. in the lower-level conference room of City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. The council meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
