Gunshot Victim’s Body Identified

From Staff And Wire Reports

Human remains found in a shallow grave outside the city last week are those of a woman who had been missing since February, the Yakima County coroner’s office has confirmed.

Christina Antich, 19, died of what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head, Deputy Coroner Maurice Rice said Sunday.

David and Brandy Fisher, both 20, were arrested Wednesday after officers discovered Antich’s remains on a hillside outside the Terrace Heights neighborhood, police said.

David Fisher was being held in the county jail for investigation of first-degree murder. Bail was set at $250,000.

Brandy Fisher was being held for investigation of being an accomplice to murder. Her bail was set at $100,000.

Prosecutors say Antich got into an argument with David Fisher over drugs in February and he shot her in the head three times.

Investigators say they believe Brandy Fisher helped hide the body until it was dumped outside of town. Detectives believe the body had been kept inside a freezer at the Fishers’ Yakima apartment before it was dumped a few days after the killing.
