Eric Kimaiyo of Kenya won his second straight Honolulu Marathon, finishing in a course-record 2:12:17, and Svetlana Vasilieva of Russia captured the women’s division in 2:33:14. More than 33,000 runners entered.

Jimmy Muindi of Kenya was second, 13 seconds behind Kimaiyo. Another second back in third was Thabiso Moqhali of Lesotho. Vasilieva was followed by Irina Bogacheva of Kyrgyzstan in 2:34:01.
