Eby Murder Trial Postponed To May

The trial of murder suspect Daniel Eby has been postponed until May.

Eby’s trial had been scheduled to begin Dec. 29, but his attorney filed a motion Monday for a continuance to better prepare. It was granted.

Eby of Wallace, and his 15-year-old cousin, Jeremy L. Schmitz, also of Wallace, are accused of killing 52-year-old Melvin Evenson in March during an attempted robbery. , DataTimes
