Two Men Face Sex Abuse Charges

Two Kootenai County men faced unrelated charges of sexual abuse in court Wednesday.

Blayde Shaunley Bush, 32, of Rathdrum, was arraigned on a charge he had lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 16.

A girl, whose age was not released, accused him of molesting her sometime during the summer or fall of 1996 when she was at a slumber party at his home.

In an unrelated incident, Paul James Mauel, 41, of Coeur d’Alene, was also arraigned on a charge that he sexually abused a 15-year-old girl.

He allegedly abused the girl when she was baby-sitting for him at his home.
