Dutch Treat: Robber High-Tails It In A Limo
He wanted to exit in style.
An Amsterdam robber decided to make a flashy getaway after holding up a post office at gunpoint - so he hired a stretch limousine and chauffeur, police said Friday.
The 30-year-old suspect robbed the post office of $500 before fleeing on foot Thursday and jumping into the limo, which was waiting a few streets away.
The chauffeur - who did not know he was being used as a getaway driver - said his passenger told him he had a family argument and ordered him to step on the gas.
Witnesses alerted police, who after a chase, trapped the limo in a side street and arrested the robber.
