Rexburg Man To Lead Idaho Grain Producers

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Idaho Grain Producers Association has elected a Rexburg grain grower to serve as its president.

Mike Ricks, who was elected president during the association’s annual convention, will represent the group through 1998.

Ricks said the association will continue to be a leader among Idaho’s agriculture groups during his tenure.

“IGPA never has been shy about taking on issues and working for growers,” he said. “With issues like TMDLs (total maximum daily loads of pollutants), maintaining water for irrigation and transportation, international trade agreements and representing Idaho’s grain producers during the state Legislature, IGPA will have a very busy year.”

Ricks has served on the association’s board of directors for the past 16 years.
